Renu Burr is a highly regarded system-transformation and leadership development expert and executive coach. She has over thirty years of experience as a leader, consultant, advisor and facilitator in designing and implementing strategies and programs to improve leadership, cultures, teams and organisational and systems effectiveness in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and overseas. Renu is passionate about enabling leaders and systems to realise their potential and create positive change by connecting with their values and purpose.
- Led the strategy and design for system-wide cultural transformation in health services and hospitals, a mutual, mining-services firms, schools, not-for-profits, manufacturing firms, utilities companies, and human-services organisations.
- Devised the first integrated human-resources strategy for a large government organisation.
- Established a trisector leadership development program to create social impact.
- Designed and delivered over one hundred leadership development programs (both in-house and public programs) focused on leading self, leading others and stewarding systems.
Renu holds a doctorate in Human Resource Management from the University of Western Australia. She has been a member of the faculty in the Business School at University of Western Australia since 1991, teaching in the MBA and other postgraduate programs. Renu has held leadership positions at the Australian Taxation Office and RAC WA and has consulted for industry since 1998. Renu is active in the University of Western Australia’s Centre for Social Impact designing and delivering collaborative and system-leadership programs such as the ELIAS-WA Program.
