Nick is responsible for program management of Catalyst, an initiative that aims to improve educational outcomes at the school system level by providing teachers with professional learning and school leadership teams with the strategies and supports to implement evidence-informed, high impact curriculum resources, pedagogy and assessment protocols. Knowledge Society designed Catalyst in collaboration with Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn (CECG) and is supporting CECG to implement the program across their system of 56 schools. Nick’s role is to work with CECG to contribute to continuous improvements in Catalyst program management, monitor and report on progress throughout contract delivery, and ensure timely and quality completion of core deliverables by the Knowledge Society team.

Influential work

  • Led a team in the delivery of administration and support services for the Australian Government’s signature education initiative, the New Colombo Plan Scholarships Program.
  • Contributed to the successful tender for a multimillion dollar contract to deliver an Australian Government-funded international education program.
  • Led the response and management of critical incidents affecting program participants in outbound student education programs, including a complex incident response to repatriate participants to Australia at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic

Background

Nick has ten years of experience working in schools teaching a range of curriculum areas at middle and senior secondary levels in South Australia. He is a highly accomplished program manager who has contributed to the successful implementation of scholarship programs that provide international education, research and internship opportunities for Australian and international students. In particular, Nick has demonstrated excellence in risk identification and management, client and stakeholder engagement and program management systems. He has also worked previously in the field of youth work, delivering intensive one-on-one case management for at-risk, flexible learning secondary students.
